The Mission of the Gateway Children's Advocacy Center is to coordinate services to child sexual and physical abuse as well as human trafficking victims in the Gateway area in a safe and nurturing environment where trauma is lessened and healing is enhanced.

What is a Children's Advocacy Center?

A Children's Advocacy Center is a child-friendly facility that offers a nurturing, supportive environment for child victims of sexual and physical abuse as well as human trafficking, and their non-offending caregivers. The mission is to minimize any additional trauma to a child through coordination of a variety of important services at one location to meet the needs of the child. This remains possible through the collaborative efforts of various professionals who intervene when a child discloses abuse. The goal is to promote justice and healing.
