News To Use!
We'd like to thank the Kentucky Colonels for supporting the center and our mission. They have granted us the opportunity to purchase some new medical equipment for our medical exam room on site. If you don't know about the Kentucky Colonels, they are an organization of talented and capable men and women appointed by the Governor because of their citizenship and service. Their primary objective is to support Kentucky nonprofits, like ours! (Please see news release)
The center is growing and changing on a regular basis. We have some new therapy tools for our children, new staff, and new programs.
ROWAN 365 awarded us a grant for new sensory toys to be used in therapy. Some of our new tools include bead trays, family models, floor tiles, and sand trays.
We have a full time counselor available at the center now. Amanda Music-Stepp completed her Master's degree and is excited as she begins her career in counseling.
GCAC hired an outreach coordinator, victim support specialist, and a new part time counselor.
We now offer free parenting classes with free childcare (available with referral).
Changes are happening almost weekly and we are excited to be growing!
